The Picture Your World Youth Photography Program is hosted by Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas, a 501 (c) 3 organization. Picture Your World is designed for ages 8-18 and encourages a creative approach to digital photography while advocating a personal connection to nature and promoting environmental stewardship among youth.
Join us at the San Antonio Zoo on Sunday, January 23 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. as we discover the zoo efforts to protect critical wildlife. Participants will have a unique opportunity to meet the rehabilitation team at the Zoo’s Center for Conservation and Research. Explore the zoo from a new angle and learn how they are working with private landowners, academic researchers and government agencies to secure a future for the most obscure and imperiled wildlife species. Picture Your World will provide cameras and photography instruction to make the most of your educational experience.
The cost is $25.00 per youth participant (includes zoo entrance fee and program). Space is limited. Advanced registration is required. Fee waivers are available for students needing assistance. Tickets and registration can be found on the Green Spaces website at www.greensatx.org. For more information contact Carra Garza, Picture Your World Program Manager, carra@greensatx.org, 210-222-8430, ext. 309.
