As part of International Dark Sky week, join us in learning about the critters that creep in the night!
Join a park ranger as we learn about some of the creatures that inhabit the park at night. We’ll talk about the adaptations that allow them to silently and successfully navigate the darkness. Learn how dark skies and light pollution affect these critters and some easy things we can do to help them (and ourselves)!
As an International Dark Sky Park, Enchanted Rock boasts some of the darkest skies in this part of Texas, which means the stars at night ARE big and bright deep in the heart of Texas.
Entrance fee for the park is $7/person (children 12 and under are free); no additional fee to attend this program. Entry is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. No need to register, just show up.
Meet in the campground behind the shower building.
