Description:

A follow-up to our Wednesday Lunch and Learn.

Join Ranger Craig for a morning wandering the grasslands of Honey Creek in search of native overwintering sparrows. This hike is a follow-up to the Lunch and Learn identification program the previous day, but you do not have had attended the Wednesday session to participate. This adults-only walk is designed to teach in-the-field identification tips and tricks for our overwintering sparrows. Be sure to bring binoculars (we have several pair for loan), wear long pants and sturdy shoes or hiking boots (we will be wandering through long grasses), and bring water. We will meet at the park headquarters and then head over to Honey Creek State Natural Area. Admission to the park is $7 per adult.
