Here's your chance to get in on world-wide FUN!!

There’s a treasure hunt going on all around the world that combines technology with nature! Come learn how to geocache with an experienced geocacher and get in on the fun! The workshop starts at 1:00pm and will conclude at 4:00pm.  Open to ages 8 and above; participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian; no pets please.

This is a classroom-style program that also includes going out and locating caches hidden within the Natural Area. Learn how easy it is to get started using your own smart phone or GPS unit. GPS units will be available for those who don’t yet have one.

Registration opens on Saturday two weeks prior to the event and closes at noon the Thursday before the event. Sorry, no group reservations.

Meet at the Visitor Center Exhibit Gallery. BYO smart phone or GPS unit or let us know ahead of time if you need to borrow a GPS unit. Dress for being outdoors; sunscreen and hat recommended. Wear sturdy footwear appropriate for rough trails; bring one (1) liter of water PER PERSON and a snack if you like.

Though the program is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area do apply. Plan to arrive early as the Natural Area can get very busy. Plan to meet at the Exhibit Gallery by the main Visitor Center. The program starts promptly at 1:00pm
