Members of the Government Canyon Activities Committee welcome anyone interested in our feathered friends for a birding outing at the Natural Area on Saturday May 21st  from 8:00am to 11:00am. 

Learn about the fun and excitement of birding, including tips on using binoculars, cameras, field guides and sound recordings. Bring your own equipment or let us know if we can loan you a pair of binoculars when you make your reservation. Volunteers will meet you at the rainwater harvesting tower at the Visitor Center. 

Dress for the weather and be prepared for sunny conditions. Bring at least one liter of water and a snack if you like. This group will be limited to 8 guests ages 12 and up; participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Reservations are required; sorry, no group reservations; no pets please. Reserve your spot online at https://friendsofgovernmentcanyon.org/events/

Registration opens on Saturday two weeks prior to the event and closes at noon the Thursday before the event. Plan ahead, as the Natural Area often experiences heavy visitation and wait time at the Fee Booth. Natural Area entrance fees apply.
