The Picture Your World Youth Photography Program is hosted by Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas, a 501 (c) 3 organization. Picture Your World is designed for ages 8-18 and encourages a creative approach to digital photography while advocating a personal connection to nature and promoting environmental stewardship among youth.

Join Picture Your World for an afternoon of nature photography on Sunday, November 12 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Mitchell Lake Audubon. Formerly the sewage facility for the city of San Antonio, Mitchell Lake is now a wildlife refuge and wetland habitat for long distance migratory birds. Whatever your age or interests, Mitchell Lake is a beautiful natural space filled with native wildlife, habitats and gardens. It’s just far enough of south of downtown to melt away everyday life.

The cost is $15.00 per youth participant. Advanced registration is strongly preferred as space is limited. Fee waivers are available for students needing assistance. Tickets and registration can be found on the Green Spaces website at www.greensatx.org/calendar/.
