Start the day off with a stroll in the woods.

Ease into the day with a leisurely guided hike on the Savannah Loop Trail. 8:00 AM – 10:00AM.  This hike is approximately 2.25 miles in length with a small amount of elevation change and relatively gentle terrain. Hike leaders will share the history of the Natural Area and point out the important restoration work being done along this trail. Open to all ages; no strollers please. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please. Dress for hiking outdoors; sunscreen and hat recommended. Wear sturdy footwear appropriate for rough trails; bring one (1) liter of water PER PERSON and a snack if you like. All Natural Area entry fees apply. IMPORTANT: Meet in Parking Lot C at the back of the parking lot where the Frontcountry Trailhead Kiosk is located. The Natural Area front gates open at 7:00AM; plan to be at the Frontcountry Trailhead Kiosk in Parking Lot C and ready to go no later than 7:45AM; the hike starts promptly at 8:00AM.  This hike is subject to cancellation. Check trail conditions by going to the GCSNA twitter feed, or the GCSNA Facebook Page.
