Join a park host to find out more about the American Bison and historical Comanche in Central Texas.

IMPORTANT: Reservations are required to enter the State Natural Area Friday through Monday, on holidays and/or during school breaks.

Distance: no hiking.

Learn how historical Comanche used the American Bison as a walking department store -- supplying many of their basic needs & making life more comfortable and beautiful. There will not be any touching of objects for this program; attendees are asked to maintain social distancing from other visitors.

Reservations are required to enter the state natural Area Friday through Sunday, on holidays or during school breaks. You can check day pass availability online at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. While a reservation is required for park entry, you do not need to RSVP for this program specifically.

Entrance fees: $8/adult; children 12 and under are free; no additional fees for park programs.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: There will be NO water available in the park from June 4th through July 1st. All visitors MUST bring their own water for consumption. Non-flushing restrooms will be available.

All programs are weather dependent -- if it rains, the Summit Trail and all elevated areas of the park are closed.
