Description:

Join a park ranger for an introduction to observing the birds around us!

Starting with how to use binoculars (yes! we have binos you can borrow) and what to bring on a birding hike, we'll progress through the basics of finding and identifying birds in the wild. If time, we'll go for a short walk to find some of the current birdy inhabitants of the area.

All experience levels welcome (no experience needed).

Loaner binoculars are available fore the first 12 visitors. You are also welcome to bring your own binoculars, cameras, etc.

Meet at the Gazebo. We'll be starting in the day-use picnic area and then moving on from there. Easy trails to no hiking for this program.
